Simple principle – smart design
The Dynagrade strength timber grading is designed to meet industry demands. A spring-loaded impact mechanism (a kind of hammer) in the main unit is activated by the cross conveyed lumber/timber. Each stroke generates vibrations in the wood, and the generated sound is captured by robust high-tech microphones. At the same time, the length of the piece is measured by a laser-based length reader, alternatively imported from the PLC. The timber piece rests on special low-friction supports during the measurement itself, during the continuous operation.
Dynagrade is compact, robust, easy to install and use
The Dynagrade timber strength system requires small space and has few moving parts and no active components like motors or other. These features and the robust design imply a high availability and low maintenance cost for Dynagrade. Our 20 years experience tells us that a Dynagrade has a long life! Dynagrade requires no readjustment for different timber sizes. The grading result of Dynagrade shows a very high repeatability. Dynagrade has proven its function in over 130 mills.
Wide acceptance
Dynagrade has been scrutinized and verified by various testing institutes since 1996 for the most common timberg strength grading standards. Dynagrade is approved in accordance with the European standard EN 14081 for machine strength grading of structural timber (C-grades) and glulam laminations (T-grades). Dynagrade is also approved in Canada and in the USA. In addition, Dynagrade is also approved for grading of glulam laminations according to the Japanese standard JAS. Grading of Australian MGP-classes is also done today with Dynagrade in Europe for lumber export to Australia.
