MOISTURE METER
MC PRO 1500

MC Pro 1500 sorts green lumber/timber into 2-4 moisture classes in order to optimize the subsequent drying process. This groups wood with similar moisture properties in each drying batch, which improves the drying process and reduces moisture variations of the dried wood. The total drying time is usually shorter compared to unsorted wood.

Moisture sorting in the sawmill – optimizing drying

MC Pro 1500 uses an innovative pulse technique to make multiple measurements when a lumber/timber piece passes the non-contact sensors. Several sensors can be installed side by side to cover the length of the wood. MC Pro 1500 sorts green lumber/timber into 2-4 moisture classes in order to optimize the subsequent drying process.
